Who We Are

Urban Intelligence is more than a name; it’s a commitment to redefining how communities face the challenges of an ever-changing world. Rooted in Kiwi ingenuity and propelled by global research, we stand at the forefront of building resilient communities worldwide.

Founded in Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2021 by Mitch and Tom, Urban Intelligence has since grown to a team of over 15. Since then, we’ve supported over 20 districts and organisations to understand their risk and build resilience across 6Million assets and sites from 900+ hazard scenarios.

You could call us a fast growing start-up, but we’d prefer to call ourselves passionate risk professionals on a mission. We’re super proud of our contributions to understanding risk and building resilience within Aotearoa across just two years, and we’ve got big dreams for what’s to come.
